About The Academy

BAA offers a quality education that focuses on Academic Excellence in a Christian Environment. The primary objective of BAA is to train the student in the way of life presented in the Word of God, while giving him or her a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
BAA is an extension of Greater Bakersfield’s First Pentecostal Church. Rev. & Mrs. I. H. Terry founded our church 1943, and later started Bethel Apostolic Academy in 1972. They possessed a vision and determination to begin a school-ministry to train children in a Christian environment. The vision continued through the leadership of Bishop Leon Frost, and continues today through Pastor Kevin Bradford, the BAA School Board, and the School Ministry Team leadership.
